PROJECT MANAGER LEVEL I-IV

BASE SALARY
$70,000 – $110,000 (commensurate with experience) plus additional incentive pay eligibility and comprehensive benefits package
Job Overview
The Project Manager plays a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects at Malasri Engineering. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a deep understanding of project management principles and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering infrastructure projects on time and within budget, while maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Entry level to master level experience managing infrastructure projects, including roadway, utility, and site development projects.
Experience with various project delivery methods (design-bid-build, design-build, etc.).
Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
Strong understanding of construction contracts, specifications, and drawings.
Experience with risk management and mitigation strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
EDUCATIONAL/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Tennessee preferred.
Completion of P.A.C.E. certification within 90 days of employment.
Other Industry Certifications (e.g., Asphalt, Concrete, Erosion Control, Earthwork, OSHA10).
Advanced Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (Civil 3D)
ESRI GIS skills preferred
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle and ability to operate a company vehicle.
Pass drug screening and criminal background check. Random drug screenings are conducted during employment.
Ethically and morally centered with a commitment to integrity and respect.
Strong willingness to learn, grow, and improve professionally.
Responsibilities and Duties
Design: Develop detailed designs for various utility systems, including plans, profiles, and details, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
Analysis: Perform engineering analyses to ensure the proper sizing and functioning of utility systems, utilizing appropriate software and methods specific to the utility discipline.
Planning: Assist in the planning and coordination of utility infrastructure for various projects, including site development, roadway, and drainage projects.
Permitting: Prepare and submit permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies.
Construction Support: Provide technical support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site visits.
Client Coordination: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide engineering solutions.
Utility Coordination: Coordinate with utility companies to ensure proper integration of new infrastructure with existing utility systems. This includes facilitating communication, resolving conflicts, and ensuring compliance with utility company requirements.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure project success.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position offers a dynamic work environment that combines office-based collaboration with exciting fieldwork opportunities. While in-person attendance is currently required for meetings and events, you'll also spend time in the field, contributing directly to the projects that make a difference in our communities. Hybrid work arrangements may be eligible in the future with supervisor approval.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs. Sitting for extended periods, using a computer keyboard and mouse extensively, with occasional need to stand, walk, and reach for documents or equipment, often requiring good hand-eye coordination and the ability to see fine details; may require occasional lifting of light objects, bending, or site visits which could involve stairs, hills, ladders, and walking on uneven terrain and being exposed to various weather conditions while in the field.
